Patricia Ann Boyland, 82, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at John F. Keever Solace Center, Asheville.
Patricia was the daughter of Martin and Grace Cooley Ahearn. She was born in Middletown, New Jersey, and worked at the New York Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator and service rep for 35 years in Newburgh, New York. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors include her husband Bob Boyland; son Jeff Dobens of Maybrook, NY, daughter Patti Barden of Walden, NY, and sister Martina Walsh of Georgetown, DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Swannanoa. Father Matthew Leonard will officiate.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Rd.
Interment will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY.

We miss you Pat. But you left us with many fond memories. Like the fun times we had together with both you & Bob. And the frequent phone calls we’ve made to each other, always ending with ‘Love you’. We end this too with, ‘We love you’.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Pat. She was a great lady. She always treated me nice and she was a regular person. She always told it like it was. She will be missed. Sincere condolences to all her friends and family.
