Patricia Darlene Massey

Patricia Darlene Moss Massey, 53, of 300 Eliada Home Road, Lot 6, Asheville, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at her residence. A native and life long resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Affie and Betty Hamlin Moss. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard Massey; a sister, Betty Lou Weaver and a brother, Ronnie Moss. Ms. Massey is survived by two daughters, Tammy Massey Ballew and her husband David of Asheville and Tonya Massey Towles and her husband John of Leicester; a son, “Bobby” Massey of Arden; three sisters, Kathy Luther, Susie Young and Pamela Jean Moss, all of Asheville; two grandchildren, Kaylee Ballew and Houston Towles. Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Fred Carpenter officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Maney Cemetery in Mars Hill. Her family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of John and Tonya Towles, 40 Hayes Cove Road, Leicester, NC. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated or contributions may be made to the family.
