My dad called me last night with this news, and I was so sorry to hear it. From 4th-grade basketball to senior English class, Pat was a friend and a constant presence in my life. He gets all the credit for most of the youth sports trophies I’ve kept to this day – seemed I was always lucky enough to be on his teams.
Mr. Haney – you were always so kind to me, and a great teacher when you were our coach in those days. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Tom:
Please accept our deepest sympathy. We will always remember the wonderful times coaching together in SBYB. Pat was always the talented competitor and the ultimate gentleman – win or lose. May he rest in peace and may God give you comfort knowing he is at peace.
I am just learning of Pat’s passing and my heart is filled with sadness for a precious life ending too soon. Memories of lots of energy, respect for others, kindness and talent flood my mind as I remember Pat as my student at Valley Springs. Sending prayers, peace and comfort to his dad, sister and other members of his family. May God bless all of you in this time of sadness. Pat was always a ‘class act’ even as a Middle Schooler. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched especially mine.
