Patsy Joan Wolfe Brown, 81, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

An Asheville native, Patsy was a daughter of the late Thomas Edgar Wolfe Sr., and Edna Wooten Wolfe, and Fay Griffin Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Stanley Brown, and brothers, Thomas, James, Jerry, Hubert and Gary Dean Wolfe.

Mrs. Brown attended Sunrise Baptist Church for many years and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry Brown; son, Scott Brown (Kelly); granddaughter, Kaitlen Heneghan (Morgan), great-grandson, Liam Heneghan; brothers, Larry Wolfe (June), Fred Taylor, David Taylor, Jim Erwin (Naomi); and sisters, Sandra Dillingham and Darlene Ramsey.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by the Revs. Bill Higgins and J.D. Gipe. A livestream of the service will be available below. Burial will then take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
