Patsy N. Berardinelli, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. A native of Yonkers, New York, he was the son of the late Donato and Mary Panzera Berardinelli and husband of the late Anne C. Berardinelli, who died in August of 2011. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula A. Berardinelli as well as four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Anthony and John and two sisters, Margie and Lena. Pat served in the US Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 as Staff Sargeant. His passion in the military was in Aviation. He later enlisted in the Marine Corp Reserve from 1948 to 1958. He was a member of Pace University Alumni Association and later received his Master's Degree in Education from Columbia University, NY. He has many interests including: music, videography, baseball, where he was an umpire for many years, and a member of the Yonkers Umpire Association and an active bridge player-member of the American Contract Bridge League for 25 years. He loved people and was a dedicated provider, husband and father. Mr. Berardinelli is survived by his daughter, Trish Benes and her husband, Robert, of Fletcher; two grandchildren, Aaron Benes and his wife, Wendy, of Colorado and Courtney Extine and her husband, William, of Asheville; two great grandchildren, Makenzie Johanna Benes and Amanda Nicole Grimm. He is also survived by his twin brother, Vincent Berardinelli and his wife, Gloria Morano, of New Rochelle, New York. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. Kelvin Moseley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patsy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of America at www.alzfdn.org.
