March 16, 1953 ~ August 29, 2024

Born in: Asheville, NC
Resided in: Asheville, North Carolina

Patti Sullivan was born March 16, 1953 in Asheville, NC, and passed on August 29, 2024. She lived her entire life in the mountains she loved. She was the daughter of the late William P. Sullivan and Mildred W. Sullivan. She is survived by her sister Penny Sullivan Edwards, (William R. Edwards), and brother Kevin Sullivan.

Patti graduated from Asheville High School and graduated from AB Tech as a X-ray technician. She worked in several industries including health care, retail, and phone support.

She was a kind and loving person and was generous with her time with those that needed her most. She spent unlimited hours reading to a blind friend and taking her places she couldn’t go to on her own. There are many more examples of Patti helping and cheering up people who lived a better life because of her love and kindness. She loved animals, especially cats. She spent many hours volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering cats and kittens. All of these acts of kindness gave Patti as much pleasure as it did the recipients.

    • Such a sweet soul, always had the great smile, always a friend and a bright spot. She will, most 9be miss by this old Brownie/Girl Scout.

  1. Patti holds a special place in my heart. Patti’s family and mine have known each other for two generations. I could always count on Patti. She was my “go to” on cats. Whenever I had a feline question, I would ask Patti. If Patti didn’t know the answer, the answer wasn’t worth knowing. We enjoyed going out to eat together, going to concerts, and sharing some holiday dinners. I will miss Patti dearly. I value the friendship we had.

  2. Patti was such a very special friend to me. She was always so kind and happy. She loved her friends and she loved her kitty cats. We met at John Carroll’s years ago when we worked there, and we have been friends ever since. Not only was she o e of my clients, she was my friend, and I will always smile when I think of her 🩷

  3. I remember Patti and Penny from school and First Baptist Church is Asheville. She was such a delightful person as was her entire family. She will be missed.

  4. Mike and I greatly enjoyed knowing and being friends with Patti. Her sudden passing away has caused us much sadness. We have great memories of her, working alongside her in our volunteering together for various shelters over the years. She was one of the kindest and most generous people we have ever known. May the Lord bless and keep her. Until we see her again!

  5. Patti was always sunshine. She was always smiling, ready to help and filled with kindness. I shall miss you my friend.

  6. Patti and her family are some of my oldest and dearest friends. Growing up next door to them are fond memories. Please let me know when the service is scheduled.

  7. I am so sad to see this announcement about Patti such a sweet and caring woman. I have known her since high school and was happy to see her at our 52nd reunion. Rest in peace sweet Patti you will be missed by all of us.

  8. Patti Sullivan was a classmate and friend from elementary through high school. We were Girl Scouts together and that is a very special bond. So sad to hear of her passing. RIP angel. You were loved❤️
