Paul Edward Bolton

Paul Edward Bolton, Sr., 81, of 36 Blalock Avenue, died unexpectedly Friday, December 31, 2010, at his home. Mr. Bolton was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Oscar S. and Emma Mae Collins Bolton. He was married to Viola Margaret Harper Bolton, who died March, 19, 2010, and he was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Bolton. Mr. Bolton was retired from the US Navy and was very involved with assisting disabled veterans. He was well liked by his friends and he loved his family deeply. He is survived by a daughter, Patti Deyton and husband, Chuck, of Asheville; a son, Paul E. Bolton, Jr., and wife, Jane, of Huntersville; two grandsons, Nicholas Deyton and wife, Christy, and Ryan Deyton; and by a sister, Addie Lewis and husband, LeRoy, of Arden. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the Revs. Dale Whitson and Daniel Allen officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team.
