Paul Robert Warren

Paul Robert Warren, 79, of Warren's Creek Rd., Candler, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at The Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., Mr. Warren was a 1955 graduate of Candler High School. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of White Rock Baptist Church, and would have celebrated his 80th birthday on March 13. Surviving are his wife, Louise "Vicky" Warren; a son, Shawn Warren (Amanda) of Candler; a daughter, Misty Shook (Will) of Columbia, SC; a brother, Bobby Warren (Myra) of Candler; a sister, Mary Hensley of Candler; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan Lee Warren and Annie Mae Warren, a brother, Glenn Warren, and a sister, Martha Hilton. Funeral services will he held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at White Rock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Groce Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
