Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Pauline became a dear friend to me while I was hired to help her and Pete during the day. She always had a smile regardless of how bad she felt! I am so glad I went to visit her several weeks before she passed. RIP Pauline “I will miss you ! “ Love and Hugs to you and Pete❤️

  2. She was a wonderful grandmother. I’ll never forget all the good times my sister, brothers and I got to spend with her and Grumpy. That includes all the times we came to visit them both almost every Summer and New Year’s and they came to visit us for birthdays and graduations. Rest in peace, Grandma Waldburger. 😔 ❤️

  3. I was her exotic adoptive son. I will always remember our dinners together and playing Trivia Pursuits and having drinks. It was my pleasure and gift knowing her. The love she brought to this world will be very missed. I thank her and her husband Pete for taking me in as family and loving my children as their own.
Now you and Dad are together again.

You support us in good and bad times. Thank you

    Love you Mom

  4. Pauline was a wonderful lady, always pleasant and smiling. She was a true friend to me for over 20 years. I realize the last few years had been confining, but she never met me without a smile. I know she and Peter are united now. I send my love and prayers to all of the family.

  5. Pauline was a special friend to me in the years we worked together at Rathbun House. I remember many Thursday afternoons we spent together. Pauline had a caring heart. She and Pete were so kind to me. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

  6. As I think about this, we shared many memories with Pete and Pauline. I enjoyed Pauline’s competitive nature. I did not win too many backgammon games. Pauline was gracious host. I’ve alway appreciated her spot on advice. She was an avid tennis fan. I’ll never forget the meals that she prepared, as she was a great cook. I’ve always enjoyed meeting her friends and family over the years. She loved dogs and nature. She respected different cultures. She had a strong uplifting personality. And she had a great sense of humor too. We all loved her. ❤️

  7. I always enjoyed when Pauline would visit Oklahoma and the family history she shared. She had a wonderful energy. Condolences to Peter, Paul, John and family.

  8. I wanted to let long-time Douglaston friends, Pete & Pauline Waldburger know that my mother, Joann Bowman Duncan had sadly passed away in Naples FL on Dec 18 when I saw that Pete had sadly died in 2020 and then Pauline only just a week after my mother. So sorry for the family and you are all in my prayers. Peter Lee, Paul and John: remember playing “skiddles” in my grandparents’ home at 268 Ridge Rd?! Your grandmother Louise was my grandmother Virginia’s best friend. A lot of history between the Bowmans & the Waldburgers. I have photos from my mom I’d love to send to you of my mom with Pete & Pauline over the many years. My contact information below. Thanks! Nancy (Baldwin) Wagner, Trinity, FL 34655

  9. Dear Waldburger Family, so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing….only a few days after our mother, Joann Bowman Duncan, passed in Naples, FL. Our two families were friends for so many years. I fondly remember playing skittles in my grandparents’ basement in Douglaston with the 3 boys and visiting Louise, your grandmother. Now that my mom has died, she passed on lots of photos and letters, many from Pete & Pauline. I would love to send you these momentos! Please contact me!
