Pauline Smart Hallman

Pauline Smart Hallman, 91, of Fairview, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at her residence. A native of Clarkesville, GA, she was a daughter of the late William Rutledge and Georgia Duckett Smart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Hallman, who died in 1968; one son, Thomas R. Hallman and one brother, John F. Smart. Mrs. Hallman retired from the C.P. Clare Corporation, where she worked as an inspector. She was a member of Emma’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Hallman is survived by one daughter, June Buckner and her husband, Frank, of Fairview; two grandsons, Ronnie E. Buckner and his wife, Beverly and Michael F. Buckner and his wife, Tammy, all of Fairview; one great-grandson, Eric Thomas of Fairview and one sister, Janice S. Gemmell of Arlington, VA A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Norris Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church and at all other times will be at the home of the daughter at 249 Emma's Grove Road.
