PEARL L. McCRACKEN
Pearl Landers McCracken, 92, died Sunday, October 10, 1999, from complications of a broken hip.
Mrs. McCracken was a lifelong resident of WNC and most recently resided at Fleshers Fairview Rest Home. She was born in 1907 to the late Mitchel
and Mollie Dockery Landers. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Creasman and her second husband, Otis H. McCracken. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Holcombe; two sons, Wally Creasman and his wife Minnie,and M/Sgt. USMC (Ret.) Tommy McCracken, and his wife Imelda, all of Asheville; grandchildren, Wanda King and her husband Sam of Candler, Richard Holcombe and his wife Stephany of Atlanta; four minor grandchildren, Jackie, Cathy, Terrie and Schree McCracken of Asheville; Marilyn Harmon and her husband Don, Roger Hamilton and his wife Susie and Troy Creasman, all of Asheville, and great-grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn King of Candler, Lori, Donny, and Kristy Harmon, Michelle Bailey and Brandon Creasman, all of Asheville; and great-great-grandchildren, Brittny Bailey and Dustin Rash of Asheville.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Warren Hathaway officiating. Burial will be at Gashes Creek Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
