Pearl Wells Robinson Black, 92, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
Pearl was a native of Big Sandy Mush in Buncombe Co. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Phebe Brown Wells. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Robinson, who died in 1988; her second husband, Harold Black, who died in 2007; and one brother, Charlie Green Wells, who died in 2000.
Pearl was a 1948 graduate of Sandy Mush High School. She attended Big Sandy Methodist Church.
She is survived by a niece, Beth Wells Shook; nephew, Keith Wells and wife Barbara; three great-nephews, Derick Shook, Charles Shook and wife Traci, and Brian Wells; a great-niece, Terri Wells and husband Glenn Ratcliff; three great-great-nephews, Cade, Cole and Cord Shook; and by Barbara’s sons, Ronnie, Danny and Terry Brooks.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Ebenezer Cemetery, Willow Creek Road, Leicester, with the Rev. Larry Melton officiating.
