Peggy Jean Turner Michael, 85, of Candler, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Mission Hospital. Mrs. Michael is survived by her husband, Donald "Don" Michael; her beloved dog, Zoey; sons, Mark Edward Turner (Sonja) and Mitchell Lewis Turner; grandchildren, Joshua Turner, Michelle Jimenez, Michael Turner, Jr., Adam Turner, Truman Turner, Tina Langford, Summer Langford, and Timmy Hill; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Washington Turner, Jr., daughter, Laura Jean Turner Langford, and her son, Michael Thomas Turner. Memorial services for Mrs. Michael will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, at Freedom Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

    You and Peggy have been the best neighbors and friends. We cherish our times eating watermelon on the porch and visiting–sharing stories of our lives and laughing at the good times. And with Zoey on our lap. We will still be porch sitting with you and now remembering dear Peggy. We are so sorry for your loss and your pain.   4. Grangie was a wonderful person full of life .I’m a better person just because I knew her. She instilled good morals in us all. I hope she has a great reunion with the people that we have lost to soon . I will miss you

Peggy was the best Cousin Aunt Sister I could have ever had she was all if these things to me but her greatest calling in life was Mother Wife and Grangie she was loving and caring to all you had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be missed but the memories will always be there. Love you all and my prayers are with you.

  9. I was sad to hear of the passing of Peggy. She was always so kind, loving and giving to everyone. She loved her family so much and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Many good memories with her and the family.

    I’m so sorry for the loss of Peggy. I just recently became acquainted with her but I looked forward to our visits. She was so warm, caring and liked to laugh. She is missed greatly. I know you both have been such dear friends to my aunt and uncle. Be strong and of good courage. A better day is coming and we will never be parted from our loved ones again, and there will be no more suffering, pain, death or tears. Until our next visit, please know you are in my prayers and thoughts. You are loved by so many.

  14. I just found out that PEGGY Jean passed away. I lived next door to her family 1943 – 1949 and lived neat her on Salola St in the 1950’s.
