Phyllis Diane Ballard Garrison, 48, of 27 Charlie Arthur Lane, Asheville, died Tuesday, September 5, 2000 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Garrison was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Joe Johnson Ballard. She was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, George Garrison of the home; her mother, Frances Case Ballard of the home; a sister, Sharon B. Alexander of DeLeon, Texas; several aunts and uncles and a host of loving cousins who she dearly loved.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. G.H. Shope officiating.
Her family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 3001 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27616-2817.

Seeing the obituary for Phyllis brought back a lot of memories of attending school with her at Venable many years ago. Although I had lost touch I still picture her as a friendly person and I am sorry about her death. I will always remember her.
