Phyllis Sluder Davis

A native of Buncombe County she was a daughter of the late Bront and Elsie Taylor Sluder. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband William E. Davis who died in 1991. She was a former secretary for Skyland Oldsmobile and a member of Brown's View United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Susie Davis of Candler; a brother Denny Sluder of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Shannon Allison and her husband Chris, and Michael G. Davis and one great granddaughter Katie Allison.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Monday at Brown's View United Methodist Church with the Reverend John Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 5-7:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, where Mrs Davis will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
