Rachelle M. Smith

January 22, 1920 ~ July 7, 1998

Mrs. Smith was born in Henderson County and was a daughter of the late Phil and Josie Morgan Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Calvin Smith, two sisters, Norma Sluder and Bernice Bridges, and a brother, Jesse W. Moore. She was retired from Enka and was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son Gary Stanley Smith, and his wife, Nancy;; two sisters, Opal Lauver and Blanche West, and a granddaughter, Heather Lunsford.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Home, and the Rev. Harold Savell will lead a memorial service at 8:30 pm. Graveside rites will be at 2:00 pm Friday at the Salisbury, NC, National Cemetery.
