Ralph Edward Jenkins, 64, of Asheville, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014. A native of Asheville, he was a son of the late Samuel Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean Miller Jenkins, brother Calvin, and sister Frances. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his son, Matthew Mitchell Jenkins; one step-daughter; three step-sons; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mr. Jenkins will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at The Church at Asheville, with Pastor Jed Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
