Randall Garland Ownbey, 58, passed away Thursday August 18, 2016, at his home.
He was the son of Joyce Grooms Ownbey and the late Russell Ownbey. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Ownbey.
Randy is survived by his wife Susan Ownbey; children, Randy Ownbey Jr., Chad Ownbey, Jarrett Ownbey, and Jordan Shoemaker; grandson, Clay Ownbey; and sisters, Diane Pitman and Cindy Ervin.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday August 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. with the Revs. David Ray and Josh Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
