Grandad, was also a great story teller. While some of them tall tales, he told them well and from his heart. One in particular that I’ll always remember was a day when I was very young and had the pleasure of being his fishing buddy that day. All though as a youngster( one that couldn’t sit still for very long like myself) I was proud to be fishing with my grandad!! He of course always told it better, but we were trolling along in the boat and grandad cast his line a few times in a spot he was sure!! Would catch a fish..well when he didn’t he said “ son cast it right over there and just be patient .” Well sure enough, I’m sure I wasn’t paying to much attention but what do ya know, next thing I knew I had a FISH!!! AND IT WAS A BIG ONE!! The way he always told it, “I said Grandad pleasssee don’t let this one get off!!!” We reeled it in and it was a whopper! For the sake of tall tales it had to have been 6-8 lbs! ( or at least that’s how I remember he told it 😉)
Like you always said grandad, “one day at a time” you loved and were loved by so many. Til we me meet again my friend.
-Your #1 grandson

I am sadden to hear of Keith’s passing. I worked with him at Gerber for many years I will always remember him as a true and kind friend with a witty sense of humor. He could always brighten your day. I prayed God will give you peace as only he can.
Hello Bill and Pat, please accept our belated condolences. We have just learned of your Dad’s, and, your husband’s passing. We knew something must be amiss, since we had not had a visit from Keith for some time. He always showed up in the summer, with a smile, and, a keen interest in how the tomatoes were doing. With love, and remembrance of a very special person. Paul and Simone
