Randall Cole Light, 37, of 136 Swannanoa Avenue, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999.


A native of Greenville, SC, he was a son of Lavinia Phillips Light of Asheville and of the late Bill N. Light. He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Jack Light in 1983. He was an employee of Phil’s Paint Service.


In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jacqualine Buckner Light; two sons, Michael Light and Randall Light, Jr. of the home; a sister, Melodie Clarke; three brothers, Chuck Light, Denny O’Kelly and Dale O’Kelly and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Hazel Phillips.


Services will be 11 am Wednesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue conducted by the Revs. Jamie Rogers and Vince Keith.


Burial will be in the McMahan Family Cemetery in the Pensacola Community.


The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

It’s been 21 years today but seems so unreal still… I’m going to be a papaw and ur first great grand daughter is going to be here soon… I’ll be to visit where u rest when I’ve got a chance.. miss you old man and trying my best to make u proud but life is hard and trying to truly find my place n life and what I’m doing with it… Tell everyone up there I love n miss them
