Ray "Mick" Corbin, 68, of Arden and of Caswell Beach, NC, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his residence. A native of Macon County, he was a son of the late James and Sarah Adams Corbin. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Carver. He was retired from Taylor & Murphy Construction. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Rodgers Corbin; one daughter, Alicia Corbin-Knighten and her husband, Randy, of Hendersonville; two sons, Robert Craig Corbin and his wife, Mona and their son, Hunter, of Elm City, NC and Walter Corbin and his wife Merle and their son, Kyle, of Edneyville; one brother, Verlon Corbin and his wife, Pat, of Cartersville, GA; one brother-in-law, Glenn Carver of Spring City, TN and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Avery's Creek Christian Church Cemetery with the Reverend Henry Kyle Thompson officiating. The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
