Reba Moore Wilson "Mamaw," 77, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the CarePartners Solace Center. Born in Yancey Co., Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Bayles and Helen Higgins Moore and was also preceded in death by siblings, Ralph Moore, Alvin Moore, Kathleen Moore, Helen Moore, Walter Moore and Mary Jane Nelson. She had been a caregiver in nursing facilities. Surviving are her husband, Glenn Calvin Wilson; children, Anita Wilson (Eric Taylor), William "Tom" Wilson (Jennifer) and Clayton "Roger" Cooper; grandchildren, Cassie Wilson and Candie Cooper; and siblings, Essie Williams, Alice Moore, June Dispaine and Reece Moore (Louise). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the Pisgah View Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

    I hope all of know how much I cared for Reba which became even more precious in the last couple of years with her health challenges. She faced adversity with courage and a complete lack of self pitying rarely seen. I was warmly touched by the photo video, recognizing so many of through the decades.
    You are all in my thoughts & prayers. It has been a distinct privilege caring for many of you as your family doc for more than 30 years.
