Reva Prestwood Ingle

         Reva Prestwood Ingle, 83, of 1690 Dix Creek
Chapel Road, formerly of Old County Home Road,
Asheville, died Monday, October 26, 1998, in the Hospice Solace Center.

     Mrs. Ingle was born in Buncombe County and was a
daughter of the late Charlie and Sally Stines Prestwood
and was also preceded in death by her husband Riley S.
Ingle, her daughter, Katherine I. Brown and her sister,
Gerethal Reynolds. She was retired from Drexel
Furniture Company and was a member of Riverside
Baptist Church.

     She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Reynolds
and Elizabeth Ingle of Asheville;  a son, Rex Ingle of
Alexander;  a sister, Exum Ball of Leicester;  four
brothers, Morris, Hurley and Revis Prestwood of
Leicester and Dan Prestwood of Ramseur;  eight
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday in Groce
Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Charles Phillips
and Ricky Townsend officiating.  Burial will be at Big
Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery.

     Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm
Wednesday at the funeral home.
