Rhea Ware Ferguson, Jr.

Rhea Ware Ferguson, Jr., 85, of Asheville, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Born February 19, 1929, in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of the late Rhea and Beatrice Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson served twenty-six years in the USAF. He served in Southeast Asia and was a Veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He then moved to Asheville and retired from the VA Medical Center. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving wife, Eunice; children, Deborah, Karen, and Mark; grandchildren, Alaina, Ben, Melissa, and Daniel; great-granddaughter Cheyenne; sister Roberta; and half brother Dan. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery Chapel. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
