Rhoda Crane Harrell

Rhoda Crane Harrell, 82, of 87 Moody Avenue, Candler, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, at a local hospital. A native of Salem County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Pearl H. Crane. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Henry Harrell who died in 2000. She was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Rhymer and her husband Richard and Virginia Harrell, all of Candler; one granddaughter, Melanie Medford and her husband George William, of Candler; two sisters, Frances Green of Waynesville and Rachel Bell of Port Huron, MI. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Richard C. Clough, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to Francis Asbury UMC Building Fund, PO Box 67, Candler, NC 28715.
