Richard Ashby Bauroth, 76, loving husband, father and grandfather, was redeemed by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 10, 2023. Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1947, he was an outstanding athlete and veteran who served his country for three years in the 4th Infantry Division of the U. S. Army from 1967 to 1970.

Bauroth spent his career in insurance and financial planning. After retiring to Arden, North Carolina two years ago his purpose in life was helping open a new charter school in Hendersonville based on the classical curriculum of Hillsdale College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville who loved Christ and ensured his two younger children were educated in Christian schools.

Bauroth is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Karen Cannon Bauroth; three children: Jefferson Ashby Bauroth of Prosper, Texas; Brian Edward Bauroth of Laguna Niguel, California; and Amanda Bauroth Donahue of Vero Beach, Florida; and three grandchildren: Lauren Elizabeth Bauroth, Grant Allen Bauroth and Kathryn Elizabeth Bauroth of Prosper, Texas.

A Funeral Service will be held starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16 at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, with military honors and burial to follow at Roberts Memorial Park in Arden. His family will greet friends at First Baptist on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Blue Ridge Classical Academy; c/o Gary Corbin, 16 Beaumont Dr. Hendersonville, NC. 28739.
