Richard Bruce "Dick" Breece, 74, of Ingle Rd., Asheville, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Paul and Sue Ingle Breece. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula Frances Cole, and her husband, Dan.
Mr. Breece was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a security guard.
He is survived by a sister, Carol Ann Young of Swannanoa; brother Gary Breece of Lawrenceville, GA; nephew David Cole of Leicester; and nieces Tammy Young of Swannanoa, and Deanna Stone (Matthew) of Swannanoa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Redeemer, with the Rev. Fr. Alexander Hanks officiating. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave.
