Richard Kermitt Holloway

Asheville ~ Richard Kermitt Holloway, 64, died Friday, January 10, 2003 in a local hospital. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Holloway was the son of the late Nell Stroud Holloway and Jesse Holloway. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Holloway. Mr. Holloway was a retired hairdresser. Survivors include a son, David Holloway and his wife, Tonya of Charlotte; a daughter, Maria Holloway Clark and her husband, Rick of Pineville, NC; four grandchildren, Emily and Michael Holloway, Alex Rice and Joanna Clark; two sisters, Marjorie Wilson of Travelers Rest, SC and Juna Pat Spivey of Fairview and two brothers, Joe Holloway of Candler and Jesse Holloway, Jr. of Asheville. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Rev. Terry Duckworth officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
