Richard McKinley Redmon

Richard McKinley Redmon, 68, of Candler, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his residence. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Lloyd and Gladys Carland Redmond. Mr. Redmon was retired from the Buncombe County School System Surviving are his wife, Pamela Wise Redmon; daughter, Sarah Ann Redmon (James Revis); son, Richard M. Redmon, Jr.; grandchildren, Isaiah Revis and Kiara Revis; sister, Barbara Redmon, Debra Miller, and Mary Ellen Wright; and brother, Frank Redmon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billy Dodd officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
