Richard Reeder Demptser, Jr.

Asheville.
Mr. Dempster was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN. He had been a carpentry contractor in Asheville for the past 20 years and was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Dempster, Sr.
He is survived by his loving companion, Rebecca Wallace of Asheville; sons, Joshua and Gordon; daughters, Anna Rose and Amelia; his mother, Emily Snodgrass Dempster, all of Knoxville; maternal grandmother, Lula S. Snodgrass of Johnson City, TN; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Charles and Janet Dempster, Stephen and Elaine Dempster, Ross E. and Cynthia
Dempster; sisters and brothers-in-law, Emily and Pat Hurst, Mary Ann and Doug Klein, all of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Shanna, Mathew, Andy, Nicholas, Jordan, Miranda, and Parker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Rose Mortuary, Mann Heritage Chapel, with the Rev.
Dave Ward officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles, Stephen, Ross E. and Andy Dempster, Pat Hurst and Doug Klein.
His family will receive
friends from 12:30 - 2 pm Sunday at Rose Mortuary, Mann Heritage Chapel, 6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville.
