Richard Thomas "Tommy" Stines, 68, of Asheville, died Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the CarePartners Solace Center. A native of Asheville, he was a son of the late Arthur Glenn and Mary Frances Weih Stines. Mr. Stines retired from Beacon Manufacturing and also worked at the Huddle House in Biltmore. Surviving are his daughter, Dedra Lakatos and husband John; sister Barbara Ann Hawkins; and brother Glenn Arthur Stines and wife Petra. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., with the Rev. Jimmy Page officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
