Hello All,
First let me send my most sincere condolences to my dear family. I cannot express my sadness in not being able to be there and mourn the loss of one of the biggest influences of my young life.
As a young man I spent much of my time at my grandparent’s home, the home of Jean and Bill Wooten. Every so often my Uncle Wesley would come riding down the mountain on his tractor. When your a boy growing strong men like that stick with you. Uncle Wesley was a strong man. He used to tell me stories of his military days when he earned the boxing name, ‘The Blonde Bomber’. To a boy, these stories are heroic, if not epic.
Growing up I was more of a ‘sickly child’; always dealing with illness. One such time Uncle Wesley came down to see my Grandmother, and upon hearing of my illness, came inside to check on me and spend time with me. These are memories that no can forget.
To Aunt Lou, Alf, Wes, Vivian, and Teresa, I extend my best wishes and prayer in this time. Uncle Wesley was a big man and they tend to leave the biggest holes but the good that they have left upon us is everlasting.
To my Aunt Helen I wish you comfort in the loss of your dear brother.
To my Grandmother, I cannot apologize enough about not being able to be with you right now. You were loved greatly by Uncle Wesley and I know that love was returned.
I have vague memories of Grandmother Miller but I remember she was loving and kind. I am sure her joy is unmatched to be with her son right now.
All the best I have in me to everyone who feels this lost, and I know that that number is great.

DON’T GRIEVE FOR ME, FOR NOW I’M FREE,
I’M FOLLOWING THE PATH GOD LAID FOR ME.
I TOOK HIS HAND WHEN I HEARD HIM CALL,
I TURNED MY BACK AND LEFT IT ALL.
I COULD NOT STAY ANOTHER DAY,
TO LAUGH, TO LOVE, TO WORK OR PLAY;
TASKS LEFT UNDONE MUST STAY THAT WAY.
IF MY PARTING HAS LEFT A VOID,
THEN FILL IT WITH REMEMBERED JOY.
A FRIENDSHIP SHARED, A LAUGH, A KISS,
AH YES, THESE THINGS TOO I WILL MISS.
BE NOT BURDENED WITH TIMES OF SORROW,
I WISH YOU THE SUNSHINE OF TOMORROW.
MY LIFE’S BEEN FULL, I’VE SAVORED MUCH,
GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD TIMES, A LOVED ONES TOUCH.
PERHAPS MY TIME SEEMED ALL TO BRIEF,
DON’T LENGTHEN IT NOW WITH UNDUE GRIEF.
LIFT UP YOUR HEARTS AND SHARE WITH ME,
I’M WITH GOD NOW, I’VE BEEN SET FREE!!! (:
