Rick Gumbinger

A native of Sarasota, Fla., he was the son of Alice Mobley Gumbinger of St. Petersburg, Fla. and of the late Roy Joseph Gumbinger.

He was an employee of NCI since 1982 and was a member of the ParrottHead Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Anita G. Gumbinger; two daughters, Denise Ingram of Arden and Angie Gumbinger of Asheville; a son, Dane Richard Gumbinger of Fairview; two sisters, Jan Hotalen of Key West, Fla. and Pam Roberts of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, Mike Gumbinger of Fayetteville, Ga. and a grandson, Dylan Ingram.

A private memorial service will be held Sunday at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
