Robbie Lee Freeman Jones, 94, of 75 Oak Hill Rd., Asheville, died Saturday, January 20, 2007, at Flesher's Fairview Health Care Center.
A Leicester native, Mrs. Jones was a daughter of the late Isaac Thomas and Polly Ann Meadows Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Porter Bynum Jones; sister, Hazel Cook; and brothers, Jack, Clyde, Bunyon, Major, Weaver, and Doyle Freeman.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Hensley, of Asheville, and Edith Reed, of Arden; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Earl Mosley officiating.

Dear Edith and Dot, we wish that we were nearer to Asheville on these occasions. We treasure our short visit with Robbie several years ago. We wish that we had kept closer to the Freeman family.
I was surprised at Robbie’s age, but should not have been. There is a great hymn in many of our hymnals that goes ‘For all the saints, who from life’s labor rest!’ We all long for that rest for ourselves. We send you our love, Don & Ina Freeman
