Dear Anne and family,
I did not realize that you had returned to the area. I have often thought of you thru the years and wondered how you were doing.
I always thought you did such a good job with the counseling at Reynolds. I will keep you and the family in my prayers in this time of sorrow. I know that Bob will be missed by his many friends.
Take care of yourself.
Love,
Jake
Ethel T. Jacobson, Librarian at Reynolds from Aug. 1963-Dec. 1998.
I will certainly miss Bob Gettys. He was an extremely intelligent man with the fortitude to withstand any challenge. As a politically active citizen, he always asked the right question to get to the heart of the matter.
I appreciate his confidence in me when I first ran for political office in 2000. Although, I had not know him for that long, he was always so good and supportive of me. I only wish I had the intellect and strength of Bob Gettys. I will remember Bob’s devotion to his beloved Clemson Tigers and his tireless support for conservative values. Our community will certainly miss his many contributions to this area.
My thoughts and prayers are with you
Dear Gettys’ Family. Even though it has been many years since I left Enka and since I had seen Bob, I thought of him often. His advice and encouragement led me to a path in my career which has served me and my family well. I will keep Bob in my memories as a dear friend and mentor.
