Robert Benjamin "Bob" Nicholson, 67, of 66 Valley View Drive, Candler, died Sunday, July 27, 2008.
Mr. Nicholson was born in Greenville, TN, and was a son of the late Everette G. and Imogene Renner Nicholson. He was a retired foreman with SunKist.
He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Nicholson and Cindy Limeberry of Candler; one son, Bobby Nicholson of Ohio; one sister Jean Harwood and her husband, Leonard, of Candler; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There were three families who were special to him, the Seays, the Gunters and the Monteiths.
A memorial graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Teresa Nicholson, PO Box 2381, Candler, NC 28715.

I knew Bob for most of the time he lived in Bay. He was like a grandpa to me living next door to me and always taking care of me and making sure I would get home from school ok. He also loved my dog Charlie and my parents very much. We were like family to him while he lived Bay and even after we moved and he did as well. He was a great man who is greatly missed.

My prayers continue to be with you all in the loss of your father, brother, or friend. I know how happy he would have been with the service. Bobby did love everyone that was there yesterday, that I am sure of. He was a unique character and will always hold a special place in my heart. Please keep in touch.
