Bob was always a beacon of friendship and never met a stranger. He was known for his great sense of humor and would strike up a conversation with everyone he met. Bob loved his family and his friends. From Bob and Carolyn’s honeymoon in Mexico, to cruising to Alaska, to helicopter rides to see volcanoes in Hawaii, he always loved to travel and was always willing to try new adventures. He was an avid gospel music fan, and was known to drive hundreds of miles to hear a gospel group sing. Many of these trips resulted in life-long friends. Bob and Carolyn’s first date was to a dinner theatre, and he retained the love of live theatre and concerts all his life. Bob was a life-long fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR racing. He was a collector of memorabilia of his favorite driver, # 43 Richard Petty.
Bob was a military spouse, eagerly learning about military traditions and taking great pride in being part of the military family. Bob was a very special person and lived life to the fullest. Bob was an outgoing person with a God-given gift of always wanting to help someone else. He was known by many as one of the kindest persons ever. He will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
