DONNIE WAS ONE OF THOSE GENUINE NICE GUYS. I ‘RAN’ TRACK WITH HIM FOR 3 YEARS AT REYNOLDS HIGH AND HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND. I WAS FORTUNATE TO SEE HIM WITHIN THE LAST YEAR AND TALK WITH HIM ABOUT HIS FIGHT WITH LYMPHOMA AND ABOUT OLD TIMES, NOT REALIZING IT WAS THE LAST TIME I WOULD SEE HIM. I REJOICE THAT HE HAS ENTERED HIS ETERNAL LIFE AND PRAY FOR HIS LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND.

To the Family:
I just learned of Donnie’s passing from my brother. Donnie was such a sweet person. I remember all the girls at Fairview where in love with him & Ronnie (myself included).
I have been away from North Carolina for many years, but still think back fondly on the friends I had from Fairview.
From reading all the guestbook entries, it sounds like Donnie had a wonderful life, and I have no doubt very successful.
I am sorry he had to suffer for so long with his illness but know he is in a wonderful place where he suffers no more.
May he rest in peace. My prayers to allthe family.
