  8. Bob was my uncle and I loved him very much. Driving to work this morning I was thinking about exactly what Bob meant to me. He always showed me love. Every birthday picture I have from my youth he was in. He used to try so hard to embarrass me when I ran into him at the football games. He would always threaten my boyfriends. He even threatened my husband John at our wedding this last November. I loved it. And I loved him. I am so thankful that he is surrounded by peace and more love than he could ever imagine. His heart works perfectly right now and there is no more pain. I will see him again in paradise.

  21. Kitty, Doug and Steve,
I was so sad to learn of Bob’s death this morning. He was a such a special man. I can’t help but smile when I think about how unafraid he was to voice his opinions and to freely give advice. His lectures were usually right on the money (not much got by him) with a joke thrown in for good measure! I know he will be missed among the many people whose lives he touched. Please accept my condolences and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now. You are all very special to me.

  22. Hello Kitty and Sons,

I just want you to know That I have a lot of fond memories of Bob as well as a lot of pleasant hospital visits. Frieda and I will be keeping you in prayer. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
    Prayerfully
    Gerry

He always had a friendly smile, a good word when you saw him; and brought a positive feeling and happiness to any gathering. He had a great sense of humor!!

He was a wonderful friend to UNC Asheville; we all will miss him.

My condolences and best wishes to his family and friends-

coach Swayngim! He always had a knack for getting your best effort to come forth! Remember Jesus said ‘I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Coach is there now, and we will all be there sooner than we may think! I pray the Holy Spirit comforts you and, the Lord blesses you in this time of grief!
