Robert W. Thompson, 80, of 18 Bailey Road, Candler, died Wednesday, July 16, 2010.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Pauline Kennedy Thompson, and by a brother, Luther Thompson. He was the owner of Thompson Concrete in Candler.
He is survived by one daughter, Robbi Hill.
Private services and burial will be at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Thompson was a joy to attend to at Pisgah Manor,his CNA from second shift.

Your dad was so nice to me. I really respected him. I was a young when we lived there. Your mom had heart problems. Please let me know. I played with you and sang songs to you.
