Robert W. Thompson, 80, of 18 Bailey Road, Candler, died Wednesday, July 16, 2010. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Pauline Kennedy Thompson, and by a brother, Luther Thompson. He was the owner of Thompson Concrete in Candler. He is survived by one daughter, Robbi Hill. Private services and burial will be at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.
