Roberta (Russell) Baker Fish

Roberta (Russell) Baker Fish, 89, of Fairview, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Flesher’s of Fairview.

Born July 29, 1933 in Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Hal and Mary Helena (Drake) Russell. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Parlie Baker and Richard Fish and a brother, Jimmy Russell.

An avid gardener, Roberta was a member of Skyland Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Vivian Brookshire; son, Tony Baker and his wife Sheila; two sisters: Barbara Ann Robinson and her husband Clarence and Nancy Corn; three grandsons: Colbey Baker and his wife Cara, Michael Brookshire and his wife Ashley, and Colt Brookshire; four granddaughters: Holly Patterson and her husband Luke, Lacie Rabb and her husband Eric, Tori Beauregard, and Faith Brookshire; and five great-grandchildren: Josiah Baker, Thane Patterson, Nathan Baker, Ariel Patterson and Barrett Brookshire.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastors Roy Waldroup and Keith Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Tweeds Chapel Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 PM.
