Roger Dean Fox, 59, of 305 Forest Lane, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at his home. Mr. Fox was born in Buncombe County and was a Navy veteran. He was a former truck driver and convenience store clerk and manager. Roger was a happy person who enjoyed telling jokes and bringing laughter to others. He is survived by his mother, Bessie Fox Ramsey; five sisters, Wanda King, Glenda Ruth Harless, Mary Janie Rice, Jackie Blagg Ponder and Frances Eva Blagg; and four brothers, William Morris Blagg, Johnny Dale Blagg, Benny Lane Blagg and Edward Ray Blagg; special cousins, Doris Henry and Geoffrey Pace and many nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Memorials may be made to WNCAP, PO Box 2411, Asheville, NC 28802.

    I can’t believe your gone. I will miss you dearly. My childhood memories are full of you. When I was a little girl, you always came and got me and we did fun things together. You are and always will be my favorite brother. When I grew older, we laughed and joked together. I thank God for the last year we have spent together and all the things we laughed and joked about. It just doesn’t seem fare to have to let you go. Not one day will pass that you will not be in my thoughts. I know God knows best. He decided it was time for you to rest. Rest in peace brother.     I remember we had some wonderful times together. We had lots of laughs, told a lot of tales, and drank a lot of coffee. I enjoyed the time that you, Jackie, and I spent together.     I never really got to know you. I wish that I had. I can only remember little pieces of you from my childhood. I am sorry to hear that you have passed but it brings joy to my heart to know that you are with our Lord and Savior.
