RON CARTER Ron Carter, 60, formerly of Asheville, died Friday, October 26, 2007, in Kingsport, TN. Ron was a native of Asheville and was a son of Ernest and Judy Carter of Asheville. He was a graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School and was an Air Force veteran. He lived in Thomasville before moving to Kingsport in about 2002, where he owned Dynasty Kennels. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cindy and step-daughter, Bethany, both of Kingsport; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Inger Carter of St. Louis; two granddaughters, Emma and Melody; a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Joy Carter of Morganton; a niece, Jennifer; and a nephew, Corey. A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Douglas B. Tilley at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Malvern Hills Presbyterian Church, 2 Bear Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
