Ronald Stephen Bradley 70, of Asheville, died unexpectedly on Saturday March 29th, 2014 at Novant Health Medical Center in Huntersville, NC. He was born on May 13, 1943 to the late Carl Furman and Robbie Laughter Bradley, both of Asheville. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and graduated from Biltmore High School and Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College. He proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corp as a Corporal in the military police. He worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation for almost 34 years as a civil engineer. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 43 years Julia Ann Bradley of the home, and was a cherished and loving father to his only child Stephanie Ann Bradley of Cornelius, NC. He is also survived by his brother Gary Bradley Sr. (Ruth) of Hendersonville, and by his sister Shirley Snyder of Asheville. He was proceeded in death by his younger sister Ann Bradley Knupp and brother-in-law Ben Snyder. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday April 3rd in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. A Military Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorials be made to The Rotary Foundation via the TRF Memorial or Tribute Gift Form (http://goo.gl/77OUcv). James Funeral Home of Huntersville, NC and Groce Funeral Home of Asheville, NC are both servicing the family.

  5. I did not know Ron personally, only as an customer at Walgreens. He was always a gentleman with a smile on his face. He came into the store the day before he went to his daughters and he was so thrilled about the cruise he and Julia was about to leave on. May God Bless Julia and Stephanie. You must to have been his life as his smile was beautiful when he spoke of you.

  6. I was so shocked to learn of cousin Ronald’s passing. I had just talked with Ronald by phone on Tuesday,the 25th, about his upcoming trip to Germany. So many good memories cousin–you were one of the lights of our family–always friendly, and outgoing. We wil miss having you with us. Julia Ann, Stephanie,

    Julie and I wanted to express our deepest sympathy for the
    loss of your Father. We will be there for you in the upcoming days to
    help however we can. Ronald was a great person and we were honored to get
    to know him through the both of you. He always was supportive and lent a
    helping hand where ever needed to help out where he could. Every time we
    came in contact with him he was so friendly, engaging and proud of his
