Ronald Stephen Bradley 70, of Asheville, died unexpectedly on Saturday March 29th, 2014 at Novant Health Medical Center in Huntersville, NC. He was born on May 13, 1943 to the late Carl Furman and Robbie Laughter Bradley, both of Asheville. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and graduated from Biltmore High School and Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College. He proudly served his country in The United States Marine Corp as a Corporal in the military police. He worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation for almost 34 years as a civil engineer. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 43 years Julia Ann Bradley of the home, and was a cherished and loving father to his only child Stephanie Ann Bradley of Cornelius, NC. He is also survived by his brother Gary Bradley Sr. (Ruth) of Hendersonville, and by his sister Shirley Snyder of Asheville. He was proceeded in death by his younger sister Ann Bradley Knupp and brother-in-law Ben Snyder. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday April 3rd in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. A Military Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
