Ronnie Cole

Ronnie Cole, 57, of Asheville, passed away on February 16, 2014. Mr. Cole was born December 18, 1956, in Buncombe Co. where he lived all his life except a few years in the Outer Banks. Mr. Cole was a painting contractor for 28 years. He enjoyed working in the yard, cutting firewood, watching Nascar, and cutting up and joking with everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald H. Cole and Leona Warren, and his brother, Donnie Cole. Ronnie is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 17.5 years, Shannon R. Cole; parents-in-law, Jerry and Juanita "Becky" Souther; and a brother-in-law, Chris Souther, all of Fletcher. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Friday at Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert A. Cuevas officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Jerry and Juanita Souther, 115 Old Airport Rd., Fletcher.
