Rosa E. Wilson

January 18, 1897 ~ November 6, 1999

Rosa Ensley Wilson, 102, of 40 Washington Avenue, Asheville, died Saturday, November 6, 1999, in a local nursing center.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Buncombe County, was a daughter of the late
Herbert A. and Laura Cole Ensley and was married to Herman L. Wilson who died in 1932. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dean Wilson and a grandson, Reuben Fleming, Jr. She was formerly employed by Beacon and Martel Mills.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura W. Hamlin and Mildred W. Fleming; a sister, Margaret Radcliff; three granddaughters, Judy F. Ownbey, Nancy C. Wilson, and Lynn H. Causey; seven great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Elk Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Duckworth officiating.

Pallbearers will be Wesley, Wade and Wendell Fleming, Alan and Barry Ownbey, and Bruce Ensley.

Her family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to Pisgah Manor Nursing Center, Candler.
