Ruby Rogers Henderson, 92, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
Mrs. Henderson was born September 1, 1930, in Buncombe County to the late Taylor and Annie Lawrence Rogers. She was married to Jack E. Henderson, who died in 2016.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melody and John Mehaffey; three grandsons, Dustin Mehaffey (Chelsea), Caleb Mehaffey (Hannah) and Simon Mehaffey; and two great-grandchildren, Maddux and Palmer Mehaffey.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Fox officiating.
Memorials may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.

It is a sad time to lose a loved one,but it is not good by it is a see ya later. What joy to know that when she crossed over Jordan, walked through those pearly gates and down those streets of gold seeing Jesus face to face. Love and prayers to the family during this time.
Mrs. Ruby almost made it to 93!! But what a joy to celebrate in heaven with Jesus! We are praying for all of you!
Melody, I’m sorry to read your sweet mother has passed. I remember her so well from when we were younger. I know she will be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
We loved your mother and have precious memories of worshipping with her at Mtn. View. Mom said she always considered her to be her dear friend.
