Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Proudly serving in the U.S. Army as a Medic during WWII, receiving a Purple Heart. Later completing his career of service in the Counter Intelligence Corps. Retirement lead to a number of interests and career opportunities. A man who truly loved his family, extended family and his community, belonging to many organizations and always finding time for volunteering. He loved reading, music, travel, food, flowers and keeping his family on their toes. He spent the last 15 years as a Givens Estates Resident following his true calling, loving where he was and all who crossed his path there. He volunteered in the Library, Gift Shop, was a Cluster Representative and delivered the in-house Administrative mail, which he loved. He truly cared about each and every person who crossed his path in life and was grateful for all that he had and received. He cared always about tending to his faith and loved the services he attended, both at Givens Estates and when able, away. In his exodus from this world he would wish to be remembered with a smile and a knowing of all the love he had in his heart for all.

  3. My Grandfather was an amazing man and heaven is a better place for him being there. He is truly missed and I love him so very much. I am grateful that I got to call him my Grandfather.

  4. Was so fortunate to have Russell Curtis as my brother in law for over 25 years. Although we were across the country from each other, the times we spent together were completely enjoyable. Loved his easy smile and twinkling eyes. Was very evident when we visited him how loved he was at Givens and by all his family. Love him and will miss knowing he
    was there.

  5. We were so blessed in life to have crossed paths with Russell , as my Dad moved into Givens. Russell greeted my nervous father, with zest for life and contagious kindness. My dad grew to be his friend , and quickly shared Russell’s love of Givens Family. That alone was a miracle for our family. Working for government aerospace contractor, we had in depth conversations with Russell aligning shared knowledge on major projects. Russell would happily receive the CIA intel books we’d bring him…and enjoy lively discussions on certain chapters. He was a man of honor, never sharing secret intel, in violation of his CIA oath. We loved him and he inspired all of us to touch as many lives on this earth. What a great teacher! Thank you Russell. For his family, we are sorry for your loss.
