Ruth Apel Donnerberg

Ruth A. Donnerberg, 82, a resident of Nordhausen, Germany, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, in an Asheville hospital. Mrs. Donnerberg had been in Asheville as a houseguest of her cousin, William Lubbeck, of 24 Mayflower Drive. She had been attending Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She is also survived by three daughters, Ute Drechsler, Krista Anuscheit and Dorle Schwarz, all of Germany and numerous friends in Asheville. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Nieting officiating. Other services and burial will be in Nordhausen, Germany. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
