Ruth Edwards Harrison, 84, of Candler, died on Friday, May 25, 2012.
A native of Bakersville, NC, Mrs. Harrison was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Ethel Holder Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odell Harrison.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of Montmorenci United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by her daughters, Krista Rice (James), and Gayle Wilson (Tommy); and grandchildren, Michelle Rice, and Thomas Wilson.
A funeral service for Mrs. Harrison will be on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Montmorenci United Methodist Church with the Revs. Frank and Mary Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Laurels of GreenTree Ridge Activity Dept., 70 Sweeten Creek Rd., Asheville, NC 28803.
